Our Mission

The Retirement Living Resource Directory™ (RLRD) is the first national online directory bringing businesses, consumers and qualified senior service professionals together in one location.  At the RLRD, we are dedicated to increasing awareness about the growing number of opportunities in the senior market available to all service provider industries.  We encourage businesses to develop alternative revenue streams by moving into the growing senior market and to incorporate the skills of other senior service professionals to enhance their list of service offerings.   

 

About Us

Several years ago Sue Thomas, owner of Room Whispers Redesign, began to develop the niche market of Redesign for Retirement Living™.  It seemed redesign and seniors were a perfect combination and her business took off.  As her business grew, Sue found her senior clients were asking for more than just redesign.  They wanted help at all stages of the moving process; from working with realtors, to home staging, downsizing and estate liquidation.  They needed help getting organized, getting their possessions packed and unpacked and getting settled in their new homes. 

 

As Sue’s business model expanded to include these new services, she needed to find and integrate other vendors to meet the demand.  The concept behind the Retirement Living Resource Directory™ began to take shape.

 

The Retirement Living Resource Directory™ was founded in 2008 when Sue partnered with Melissa Kuzma.  Melissa brings 25 years experience in Information Technology field and an MBA to the project.  Development of the RLRD happened to coincide with Melissa’s parents’ move to a new community from a home of 20 years, leaving the unique requirements of a senior move fresh in her mind and near to her heart.
